Happy birthday Liam, Watson, Whitney, the Megans, and Dado!

I know a lot of people born in March. Lane went to two birthday parties in March. Liam turned one and Watson turned two! Liam's b-day party was on St. Patty's Day, so we dressed in green. Liam was so cute in a onesie with a St. Patty's Day tie embroidered on it.

We didn't get a pic with Watson. He was a very popular guy at his party. We got to hang out at the T Star Ranch in Water Valley for Watson's party and take pics with a horse and on a saddle. It was a lot of fun. It was a beautiful day to boot. My dad turns 65 tomorrow. Happy birthday to the best father a girl could ask for. He has always been so supportive of me and I try every day to be more like him. That is how highly I think of him. I love you so much, Dad! Happy birthday to Megan C., Megan H, Whitney, Liam, Watson, and Dado!!

Happy 95th Aunt Eula!

Happy 95th birthday to the best great Aunt (and now great great Aunt) in the world! We love you.

5 months

Dear Lane,
You have been alive for 5 months now! You are growing at a rapid pace. The daycare workers say you are eating well at daycare. They like to mention to us how quickly you eat. They say you can down your bottle in 7 minutes flat! I guess that's quick for a bottle. You take about 20 minutes to nurse. You had a busy month. You got all dressed up for 'Rodeo Week' at daycare. We had a different outfit for you every day and of course, you looked adorable every day. We couldn't let all those little girls upstage you! We had lots of fun at the house watching you grow and develop. You sat up for the first time unassisted this month, but I will admit that you kind of slouch over. You haven't REALLY sat up with any real enthusiasm yet. I think that's coming soon. You continued to get better with your hand-eye coordination and you recognize your name now. You turn your head when we say your name. You are sleeping better now. You slept through the night 3 or 4 times this month. Nana and Pop came over a lot this month. They have to get their 'Lane fix'. They help Daddy when I have to go to Junior League meetings or other activities. I weighed you this morning and you weigh 16 pounds. I think you went through another growth spurt recently and I also think that increasing your bottles to 6 ounces per feeding has fattened you up. I love it! Bring on the fat rolls! You are growing increasingly more cuddly by the day, which is good because you have been inducted as a member of the Lacy Family Snuggle Bunnies Club, which is a pretty high honor. It started with Kent, Nevie, Leland, and Haley as the original members, and Kevin and myself were added later when we married into the fam. You were also baptized this month at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church in San Angelo on February 19th.

We are getting excited about your first trip on an airplane in October. I am starting to plan the trip now. We are going to San Francisco and Sonoma for my cousin Chris' wedding to the beautiful and super smart Emily. I think we'll have a nice time there. Sorry, you're not old enough to sample any of the wine at the vineyards yet! You went to your first house showing with me this month. We went to a beautiful 1 million dollar home in Christoval. You were a great real estate agent. You were on your best behavior the whole time and took a nap afterwards. Selling houses is hard work! We love you so much and can't wait to get home from work every evening to see what new tricks you are going to show us.

Know that you are loved dearly,
Mommy

Lane's Baptism

Yesterday was a special day for the Lacys. Lane was baptized at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church with my parents, Leland's parents, my Aunt Bette (BeBe) and Uncle Paul (PauPau), my brother Harvey, and Leland's sister Haley and her husband, Kevin, in attendance. Uncle Lance, Aunt Judy, Blake, Crystal, Dalton, and Addison also came to cheer Lane on. Lane did a great job. Well, in all honesty, he did poop in his diaper about 30 seconds before we were supposed to go up to the pulpit, but it didn't get on his WHITE silk outfit, so I didn't have a heart attack. Nevie and Kent hosted a nice lunch at their home after the baptism. Thanks Nevie and Kent! I felt so much love surrounding our baby yesterday; it was an incredible feeling. I also love the fact that it may have reaffirmed some other members of the church in their decision to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I pray that yesterday was the beginning of a very special relationship between Lane and Jesus and the church. God bless Lane!

4 Months

Dear Lane,

You have been with us for four months now. You continue to be a joy. You are such a good baby. I have no complaints. Well, we would love it if you could sleep through the night every once in a while, but I am just happy that YOU are happy and healthy, so I won't complain too much. You had a great month. You continued to gain lots of weight. I love to see those rolls getting bigger! Your belly is fun to watch grow too! You laughed for the first time this month, which was like sweet music to our ears and we actually caught it on the camcorder. You went on a date with your friend Maya this month. We went to the park with the strollers. We took your picture together. I think you like each other. You started noticing a lot more things this month. You started to grab your feet and try to touch Lefty. So far, Lefty has been a very good sport. You haven't hurt her yet, so she is still OK with it. I took you to the bowling alley for a Realtor fundraiser. You were such a trooper. You lasted the whole evening and got passed around all night. Everyone wanted to hold you! You had your first bite of rice cereal this month. You didn't know what was going on when I put the spoon in your mouth. I am not sure if you liked it because you were really fussy the rest of the night. We haven't tried it since. You also went to your first Board meeting this month. I took you to the meeting for San Angelo Christian Womens Job Corps and you let out a really loud burp that made everyone chuckle. We'll go for your four-month shots tomorrow. I am not looking forward to the doc sticking you, but I know you need the vaccinations. Know that you are loved very much.

Love,
Mommy

Lane's First Laugh

Lane laughed for the first time today when I was giving him what I call 'zerbets'. I am not sure where that term comes from, but I like it. Other people call them 'belly kisses', but I think 'zerbet' is more fun! Enjoy the video. It is about 1 1/2 minutes long.
